Recently, the Shandong Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security and the Shandong Provincial Department of Science and Technology jointly announced the list of funded projects for the 2026 Shandong Provincial Postdoctoral Innovation Project. Among the six social science projects approved by the university, Du Junliang, Huang Shan, and Xing Lan, three postdoctoral fellows from the Institute of Marine Economy and Management, were successfully selected, fully demonstrating the Institute’s positive achievements in attracting and cultivating young talent.
The three projects approved for our Institute closely focus on the practical needs of high-quality development of Shandong’s marine economy and concentrate on frontier fields such as the green transformation of the marine equipment manufacturing industry and the upgrading of marine cultural tourism consumption. They highlight the research feature of attaching equal importance to problem orientation and academic innovation, and the expected results will provide strong support for the formulation of relevant industrial policies.
In recent years, the Institute has closely aligned with the university’s overall deployment for building its postdoctoral talent team, continuously improved the postdoctoral training system, strengthened research platform support and condition guarantees, and actively created a favorable environment for the rapid growth of young talent. The innovation capacity and research output of the postdoctoral team have steadily improved.
Next, the Institute will continue to intensify the introduction and cultivation of outstanding young talent, focusing on precisely recruiting outstanding doctoral graduates from home and abroad in disciplines related to marine economy, marine management, and other relevant fields. At the same time, the Institute will deepen collaborative cooperation with marine-related enterprises and government departments, promote the transformation and application of research results, and continue to foster an excellent academic ecosystem of dedicated research and courageous innovation, delivering more dynamic young talent for the university’s high-quality development and the building of a maritime power and a strong maritime province.
