The Blue Book of Marine Economy: Annual Report on China’s Marine Economic Development is the only officially authorized edition of the Marine Economy Blue Book released by Social Sciences Academic Press (China) since 2012. It has since become a flagship and iconic brand in the field of marine economic management both domestically and internationally.

From 2012 to 2024, the latest editions of the Blue Book of Marine Economy: Annual Report on China’s Marine Economic Development have been published consecutively and disseminated globally. The series has been reported on and republished by more than 200 media outlets, including Xinhua Finance and Ifeng.com. It has received prestigious accolades such as the First Prize of the 12th “Outstanding Yearbook Report Award” and the Second Prize of the 14th “Outstanding Yearbook Award.”

Guided by a global perspective, international standards, world-class vision, and unique insights, the Blue Book of Marine Economy focuses on original, pioneering, and forward-looking research in marine economic management. It is characterized by its cutting-edge orientation, originality, empirical grounding, continuity, and timeliness. The Blue Book aims to address major marine economic management issues of concern to governments, media, the public, and scholars. Serving as a policy vanguard, it provides a novel discourse platform for academic discussions on marine economic management. It plays a significant role in functioning as a “think tank” and “advisory body,” strengthening mainstream thinking in the field of marine economic management, fostering social consensus, guiding rational and evidence-based public discourse, and offering critical support for decision-making by the Party and the government.

The trademarks associated with the Blue Book Series, including but not limited to “Pishu,” “Blue Book,” “Economic Blue Book,” and “Marine Economy Blue Book,” have been officially registered with the China National Intellectual Property Administration (CNIPA). The exclusive trademark rights for the Marine Economy Blue Book and other titles in the Blue Book Series, as well as the copyright for their cover designs and layout formats, are wholly owned by Social Sciences Academic Press (China).

Any unauthorized use—whether in text, graphics, or combinations thereof—that is identical or substantially similar to the registered trademarks, cover designs, or layout formats of the Marine Economy Blue Book and other Blue Book Seriespublications constitutes infringement. Social Sciences Academic Press (China) will pursue legal action against such infringements to protect its legitimate rights and interests.
