Conflict is ubiquitous in social and economic life and is closely intertwined with human production and daily activities. This paper introduces a restructured three-way conflict analysis model by reformulating and extending the original three-way conflict model. First, we propose the concept of 2-tuple conflict states by integrating voting information with payoff information. Second, we introduce conflict utility and conflict graphs, and reconstruct the binary relation analysis. Then, the critical concept of stability analysis is incorporated into three-way conflict analysis considering the agents’ asymmetric power and agents’ behavioral features. Finally, we establish a formalized decision-making paradigm for three-way conflict analysis, encompassing conflict modeling and conflict analysis (stability analysis and binary relation analysis). A multi-stakeholder quality conflict case of a horizontal tail R&D project from large commercial aircraft is employed to validate the validity and operational feasibility of the reconstructed model. The research findings demonstrate that the proposed methodology effectively captures agents’ strategic choices and their interest considerations, thereby enabling the prediction of conflict evolutionary trends and identification of potential resolution outcomes.
