Recently, the results of project approval for the 2026 National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC) were announced. The project “Research on the Implementation Mechanism of Multi-Agent Collaborative Governance of Marine Ranch Data from a Scenario Perspective,” applied for by Dr. Wang Yecheng from the Institute of Marine Economy and Management, was approved as a Young Scientists Fund Project (Category C). This marks new progress by the Institute in cultivating national-level research projects and conducting research in the field of marine economy and management.

Marine ranches are important strategic carriers for safeguarding national food security and advancing the building of a maritime power, while data is a key production factor supporting the high-quality development of modern marine ranches. The project focuses on the issue of collaborative data governance in the digital and intelligent development of marine ranches. From a scenario perspective, it studies the internal mechanisms and implementation mechanisms of multi-agent collaborative governance, aiming to deepen understanding of the laws governing marine ranch data governance and to form a long-term, sustainable governance paradigm for marine ranch data in the Chinese context.

The approval of this NSFC project is an important achievement of the Institute in continuously strengthening its young talent team and enhancing the cultivation of high-level research projects. It also reflects the Institute’s long-term commitment to the field of marine economy and management. In the future, the Institute of Marine Economy and Management will further optimize its research and innovation environment, strengthen the cultivation of high-level research results, and continuously improve its research support capacity for serving the national strategy of building a maritime power and Shandong’s efforts to build a strong maritime province.
